The Saints loss of Freeman and Furbank could impact massively as aren’t they short in the backline anyway, with Proctor out for starters ?

Re: Saints Away - 30th October 2021
Dingwall and another back limped off on Friday as well. They tend towards a 6:2 split in the bench anyway.westwinds31 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 11:31 pm The Saints loss of Freeman and Furbank could impact massively as aren’t they short in the backline anyway, with Proctor out for starters ?
Short in the backline and missing their flankers we should be able to take the game to them.
Re our selection;
Van Wyk, Montoya, Heyes
Wells, Snyman
Chessum, Weise, Van Staden
JVP, Ford
Kelly, Moroni
Nadolo, Heggarty, Potter
Dolly, Leatigaga, Cole, Henderson, Reffell, Wigglesworth, Burns, Murimurivalu
Cole gets a little bit of a breather as does Green before coming back in for the Bath game. Heggarty looked solid in pre season so give him a go in the Steward role. Kelly should be fresh after his enforced absence so can stay in and Scott can take a break before the Bath game when Moroni will be with Argentina. Murimurivalu covers most of the backline.

Re: Saints Away - 30th October 2021
Piers Francis and Naiyaravoro are both back training for saints so they may well feature in their back line. I’d expect:
9. Mitchell
10. Bigger
11. Skosan
12. Hutchinson
13. Francis
14. Naiyaravoro
15. Tuala
If so this would be some backs division with no real weak links. Not a huge expert on Saints and their current injury situation but I expect something like this

Been some time since an East Midlands derby featured two top four sides !
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

If there is one thing I’ve learnt from being a Tigers supporter this game cannot be predicted on the form of the teams. It’s a one off and long may it be so.

Francis went off with a HIA on friday night, doesn't that mean he can't play next week?OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 7:49 am Piers Francis and Naiyaravoro are both back training for saints so they may well feature in their back line. I’d expect:

Francis will be available if he comes through all concussion testing and protocols.kpj tiger wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 1:13 pmFrancis went off with a HIA on friday night, doesn't that mean he can't play next week?OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 7:49 am Piers Francis and Naiyaravoro are both back training for saints so they may well feature in their back line. Re: Saints Away - 30th October 2021
Skosan look very good on Friday in attack. I do not recall what he was like under the high ball. Potter’s kick chase has been excellent so the back three could be a defensive weakness for them. We will need to be tight and organised in defence, but that does seem to be a strong point for Tigers currently. If Hanro and Martin are missing that would reduce the attacking threat from tactical kicking a bit as they are both quickly up too.
Re: Saints Away - 30th October 2021
Thanks for the clarification, I had it in my head that a failed HIA was a mandatory 1 week restTigerbeat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 1:16 pmFrancis will be available if he comes through all concussion testing and protocols.kpj tiger wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 1:13 pmFrancis went off with a HIA on friday night, doesn't that mean he can't play next week?OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 7:49 am Piers Francis and Naiyaravoro are both back training for saints so they may well feature in their back line. Re: Saints Away - 30th October 2021
Think it is "technically" possible to pass concussion protocols in 6 days I think, but if he's failed a HIA likelihood is he won't play this weekend
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
