Rugby is truly amazing
Rugby is truly a global family.
Last week was a very tough week for me I was suffering with several debilitating side effects of one of my chemo medicines, so much so that on Wednesday evening I climbed the stairs to bed on my hands and knees one step at a time.
I was in a very low place. Thursday lunchtime a parcel arrived for me on opening I found a signed England shirt along with 2 letters to me, one from Eddie Jones England head. Coach and the other from Bill Sweeney CEO Of the RFU both saying they had heard of my illness and wanting me to know that both the England team and the RFU were thinking of me.
Unbeknown to me my youngest son Shaun had written to the RFU asking if Eddie would willing to send me a letter of encouragement
I cannot express in words what a huge boost I was given by this amazingly kind gesture

Nice post Chobbsy, I hope you're on the up!
You can say what you like about Eddie J and his slightly more abrasive side, but I reckon somewhere in there deep down, he's a pretty nice guy who seems to recognise the importance of supporting the wider rugby family.
