Personally I always had a lot of time for Banahan. In the many games he played against Tigers he usually caused us problems, but he was often to be seen chatting to nearby opposition players during breaks in play. They used to be called "sportsmen" - and I think he was.

Some years ago, after we'd beaten Bath, he came over for a chat and a lot of the Tigers fans had photos with him. No poser, he was genuine, warm and jnteresting.
