Whoever the referee is on Saturday or any game day for that matter, we need to be more vocal and in communication with them. At times last season, under Tom, we didn't do that and think we suffered as a result. I strongly believe that Ellis will be in more communication with the refs, ensuring that our concerns are fairly raised.

Referee: Ian Tempest.
Assistant Referees: Greg Macdonald and Phil Watters.
TMO: Andrew Jackson.
Citing Officer: Budge Pountney.‌

Let’s all hope for a better game than the last one Tempest referred at WR…!
Personally I hope the crowd is a bit forgiving to Tempest, okay maybe the odd pantomime boo for a laugh but on reflection there was little he could have done (except from giving us a penalty try :smt003) and how he handled both Tom Youngs' comments and the aftermath was professional and it was an application of common sense.
It can’t get any worse that’s for sure! I too hope there’s at least a jovial attitude towards Tempest and new season new start.

Intriguing to see how the consistency of the new laws is refereed rather than anything else I think.

Referees adapting back to full crowds again will take some getting used to I’m sure after pretty much no booing or jeering etc. Should be fun!

ABC bar and toilets closed. Free movement in the Crumbie restricted. Fair enough. I wonder how many of us will be wearing masks? I will to get through pinch points like the turnstiles.

Does anyone know the clubs covid restrictions for this weeks game? I know the government have parked the vaccine passes up,for now,but as I understand it all premier league football grounds are still gonna go ahead as if they are in enforcement.
Can't find anything on our website. Thanks.

Why do unthinking relatives decide to do things like get married etc on home matchdays? Why do competitions in my active sports (orienteering, canicross) have their reinstated comps likewise? Hopefully by the time I get to WR the Crumbie will be sorted. As Mrs G noted, I hate seated rugby watching, even on TV. 🤣

I wonder if OTY has a niggle? Possibly Heyes too, other than that looks a beast of a team!

A very interesting back row, with a 'shut them down' set of locks, and backs to purr about as a defensive shift, little short on the speed except for Harry Whizz. TBH, if this lot fire at all, Chiefs are in for a frustrating, then ruinous, afternoon.
