Well the season starts v Chiefs but we are going to struggle without our Argentinians and South Africans: fear we will miss McPhillips and Henry.
Hope Clare is fit for next week.
The next 4 games will soon tell us what sort of a season we will have!

Would not read much into pre-season results….games where there is nothing at stake and changes can be tried without any risk ….eg Steward on the wing. You would not show your hand in a match like this. I expect to see a more balanced approach to next weeks game, but Exeter will always start as favorites at this point in time.

Positives - line speed, kick chase and scramble defence all look good.
But, the defence was too easily breeched with some missed tackles; the Backs looked fairly blunt, compared with the Scarlets; too many handling errors; and the set piece wasn't brilliant, especially the line out.
All the usual caveats for pre-season run-outs of course, but imo, things really need to go up several notches if Tigers are to get anything from the Exeter game.

Pretty unimpressive performance, line out was dreadful, scrum was not much better, turned over the ball in contact, defence in the wide channels was absymal. Not many positives given the calibre of the players we had out tonight apart from our centre pairing. Was looking forward to a Fordie spiral bomb but not one tonight whereas Hegarty put in a nice spiral to touch. Credit to Scarlets they were truly up for it and their tenacity in defence as admirable although they got away all night with going off their feet beyond the ball and then holding onto our players which the Ref just ignored. Need a massive improvement against Exeter or it will not be pretty.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

Disappointing evening
Scarlets were the better side and excellent in possession and stronger in scrum and line out
Scot did very well along with Reffell and Martin
Costellow shone brightly at times for the Scarlets
Handling from scarlets going forward was exceptional and avoided the clash and impacts of our defence
…not overly worried but not greatly impressed …looking forward to seeing the improvements

On commentary they kept mentioning how good our line speed and defence was, but in reality, although some good shots were put in, we looked ragged in the wide channels and missed a load of tackles....some simple hands from Scarlets and we were on the back foot. Attack wise we didn’t show a lot, maybe we’re holding it back for next week !? Pre season is for trying things out yes ? So with opportunities to try driving line outs or backs moves, we go for the posts. I saw one move where we were clearly trying to narrow up the defence and then get the ball wide, but we knocked it on. Lineout awful. All in all, not impressive at all. It’s only pre season.....well yes but you’d expect an improvement from Jersey through to Scarlets. Can we turn it around for next week ?

I don't buy into that holding back nonsense! Was Baxter in the crowd scouting with a notepad and pen lol. Its preseason but its a home game where you are putting a marker down. Did the Leicester of old hold anything back? No! You want to win every game.

Well I feel partly to blame for two reasons:

1 - I had forgot to wash my lucky socks between Saturday and this evening
2 - Before I halftime I yelled at the Scarlets in jest to bring on some props who would bother to scrum properly, and they did…

Lineout was poor, to me it seems a lifting issue.

Overall, I’m not concerned it’s preseason, and given that everyone needs game time I will forgive the odd selections.

I think we lacked a lot of intensity which was there on Saturday.

No better example than taking two kicks for goal from penalties at the end of the first half (one missed, one scored) - why bother? It's preseason, stick it in the corner!

Do we know why Socino was pulled out? Late injury perhaps?
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I think the postgame chat with Steve was telling, seemed more interested in the fact the players got minutes in their legs than the result

You say it’s preseason but the season also starts next week.
