Scarlets visit - Thursday 09th September 2021

Post by tigerburnie »

I'm hoping for a team close to our best side, whatever that might be, obviously ,missing our SH international players, but something close to the side that will start against Exeter.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Not sure why JVP and Clare haven't made match day squad, injuries?

Dont know about Clare, but hasn't JVP already played in the first 2 games?

Well, with regards to JvP, he’s played enough (for England and us in pre-season) and YBY and WW need some game time I would suspect.

From quotes last night, Clare is injured. Guessing JVP has simply had his pre season match time and it is now the opportunity to get some pitch time into the others.

Just read that SB has said that Clare is injured. No details as per usual.

Strong side.. missing the obvious absentees of Montoya, Van Staden, Wiese and Moroni which shows our great strength in depth this season.. Will be interesting to see how Steward gets on on the wing again.. 2 tall wingers with Nadolo and Steward. Guess that's what pre-season matches are for to try a few things out and with 3 wing options on the bench (Muri, Saumaki and Porter) it's perhaps something SB is looking at a bit more seriously this season.

Can't wait for this one.. should be a good test :smt023

Can't argue with that too much. Nadolo might get a look in.. spoiled for choice on the wing now which is a nice problem to have!

Good team!

Will be nice to see Kalamafoni and Costelow again, even if it is for the opposition.
