A good shout by the coach.

I don’t know what the situation with junior clubs is but definitely worthy of a wider airing.

A defibrillator in every club would be excellent but also courses run on how to use it and other first aid and CPR.
The more people who know how to respond quickly and instinctively they better.

The Defibrillator my cricket club has just installed literally talks to you and gives you the verbal instructions on how to use it, so it shouldn't matter if there is anyone with training there it is meant to be pretty foolproof.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

A good idea to have people trained to use defibs but if there is no trained person around they are set up so that they talk to you and you cannot do any damage to the person as the output is directed by the defib depending on the readings from the pads attached.
They are a real lifesaver and even used by an untrained person, it buys time and possibly saves the life of the person.
First Aid courses do offer additional training in the use of the defibs.
