I am so so pleased that Ant Allen is in your GETXV - one of the best centres of the modern game and a big loss to CG - a true 'old fashioned' centre, dymanic and elusive but would win you a game with his magic.Just a nice guy.

Thank you

First names on the list for me are Les Cusworth at 10, with Dusty Hare at 15, and Cockers at 2. :smt023

I think one could argue that many of our issues over the last few years have been down to us being unable to find an equally capable replacement for Ant

A Robin Cowling, played in an International with a broken collar bone
B Peter Wheeler, part of the Lions front row who forced NZ to scrum with only 3 players.
C Julian White No nonsense prop.
D Martin Johnson
E Geoff Parling would be the leader but for two others.
F Tom Croft an all court player
G Dean Richards Capt Once dragged half of Scotland along.
H Neil Back a giant
I Harry Ellis would have got even better
J Les Cusworth worth the admission alone
K Rory Underwood The best finisher
L Paul Dodge did he ever loose the ball in contact
M Clive Woodward we won't mention falling down a hole at Cov
N Barry Evans Once over took the traffic at Saracens.
O Dusty Hare Greatest points scorer and a great attacker

the beauty of this thread is that it is potentially the only thread that will ever
(a) Ask a question
(b) get many many different answers to that question
and
(c) none of the answers are wrong

(except for all those that I disagree with obviously) :smt003
Less is more....

From the professional era:

Who would win in a round Robin? English Tigers, Non English NH Tigers, SH Tigers.

Feel free to swap players in and out.

That backline with Stransky and Mauger directing the Tuilagi, Rambeni and Tuquiri, with Hamilton picking up the pieces behind, would be difficult to play against!!

I do like that SH team
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

I would be putting Kronfeld in place of Salvi, two world class players but Kronfeld would be my 7.
Franck Tournaire Number 1 fan.
