Post by TigerFeetSteve »

This is a thread to try and track from the tidbits we hear who is injured and who is unavailable due to suspensions. I'll try and keep this original post up to date, any info I missed please note in the full thread and I'll update when I can:

Jaco Taute - back in training.

Tom Manz - has been spotted on crutches by members of this forum

Dan Kelly - Injured his hamstring vs Clermont unknown return, but it didn't look great.

Nic Dolly - horrific looking injury, Newcastle away, no official word from the club how bad as yet, but up and about on crutches in this video

On the official site, both Lady Gaga and Taute stated as being back in pre-season:

But yes, no pictorial evidence yet (although I haven't watched the associated video).

Perfect, I suspect the reason they've not been seen in the main is possibly because they may be following a rehab routine rather than a full routine. We shall see though.

Following his puzzling non-appearance with England, I've not seen George Martin in any of the pre-season photos. Stand to be corrected if I'm wrong!

Marco Van Staden was injured last week playing for the Boks and misses the game this week, no idea how bad but he looked to be limping at the end of the game.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.

Leatigaga is in the latest video doing gym work and Ford is shown taking part in what looks like an attacking run through and doing some kicking.

I think I spotted George Martin with what looks like a new shorter haircut doing gym work.

If Moroni is out for a few weeks perhaps he'll be released back to us to rehab and weight actually see him back on the pitch for us sooner in the long run.

Details on Moroni, think this rules him out the Rugby Championship? So will he come to us early during rehab?

I think there’s more than 4 weeks of the competition left.

Have updated original post with the fact Leatigaga played yesterday, OTY didn't (so even if he doesn't do his junior reffing that's the suspended week of the ban served I think?)

Have also added that Burns was injured, will add more as we know more.

We really could do with him at the start of the season while his 2 fellow SAs are unavailable, you do wonder about his long future at Tigers to have parts of the cap tied up in International players is one thing, having it tied up in players who aren't available due to injuries is another.(not the players fault but an unavoidable truth)
To win is not as important as playing with style!
