A new signing almost for the remainder of the season, although I suspect that there will be a period of monitoring him following contact training to see how it goes, potentially until the end of the season. Is it worth the risk when he can have the whole summer off and come back firing in July for pre-season ?
I think I'd see where he is in terms of match readiness for Newcastle and Wasps as I'd get him gametime if possible. The fact is if Reffell gets an injury I'd much rather have MVS at 7 in a semifinal/final than Robinson (no offence to him) or Liebenberg (who I'd keep at 6).

For me if he's ready for minutes, I'd have him on the bench vs Newcastle (probably have Chessum/Wells also covering lock and the back row in case if an early injury) and start him vs Wasps.
I’d rather Wasps than bring him back on that monstrosity of a pitch at Newcastle.
Personally I'd get him match sharp ASAP, but I trust Aled and team to do it right fir him

It's coming together nicely.. suspensions coming to an end, Taute back but perhaps more importantly Martin and MVS.. this is all great news just as the going gets tough :smt023

Another possible player sighting...

32 seconds in

Matt Scott runs past a guy in a green bib and then one in a white bib, the guy in the white bib looks suspiciously like Dan Kelly, though only from behind and for a fraction of a second, but I can't really think who else it might be tbh?

Edit: possibly Taute, is my only other thought atm but not convinced by that

3 names, Martin, Chessum and Dolly scrubbed off the injured/suspended list.

Now just 5 names left on it (most of whom may well be almost back)

Van Staden rumoured to have passed return to play protocols
Taute back in training unsure if match fit or not selected
Henderson back in training (has been for a while so likely just not selected now)
Manz no news, but not really expected to play if back fit
Kelly one possible sighting of what may have been him training, but not match fit yet

That list getting smaller at the business end of the season is great news

Great to see George back! I look forward to some thudding bone crunching tackles on the unfortunate opposition and hopefully he can carry on the development of that carrying game that he was just starting when injury hit

Given their position in the league it may be as simple as they're focusing on other players having minutes, plus he may have upset some by leaving

It may be that he isn’t match fit yet but Eddie wants a progress update

I turned on the insects game just after half time to see someone on a stretcher - I couldn't see who it was but thought it'd be just out luck that it would be Gopperth. Thankfully it wasn't and good luck to whoever it was in their recovery

Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.
