Harsh on Ford to be left out, still one of the best fly half’s in England, a different level to Farrell!!

Bizarre how Manu just drops back in after limited games.

Thought Louis Lynagh was putting his cards with Oz.

It's only a training squad. I imagine that Eddie is leaving Ford to work on his club game having rehabbed over the summer. No George, Vunipolas X2 either.

Surprised JVP didn’t get the nod over Quirke, maybe Tigers bias. Both great 9s and could see them both being in the WC squad...
Well, England's loss is Tigers gain. I'd be delighted if we can field both Ford and Burns in this period. JVP's time will come I feel sure.

I don't see him leaving England before the world cup as anything can happen.

Will Evans must be annoyed. One of the in form 7's leading the breakdown's get's injured and the younger cheaper player who filled in for him gets a call up to the training squad.
Kenningham is a class player though, probably not as good over the ball as Evans but is by no means a less quality player.

Apologies for what may be a stupid question, but are the lads with England this week thus missing the Gloucs game Friday?

I believe the squad is meeting on Sunday 26th September after this round of premiership games, until Tuesday 28th September, then will be back available to their clubs for the third round the following weekend.

That’s reassuring, thanks!

With the issues in getting the rugby championship completed, I would be very surprised if that were the last of the withdrawals. With the protestations made over that, in countries with far less prevalent covid issues than here, I really cannot see how Australis and New Zealand can travel.

I see tickets for every AI have reached general sale. That's pretty abnormal - I wonder if the RFU have changed the distribution of tickets to clubs, or if the clubs have just sent them all back.

Suggests we're not going to see a full Twickenham for SA & Aus for the first time in a generation.
