Connacht (Galway) is a nice place to visit in the run-up to Christmas but not a very nice journey. Flew to Dublin then took a coach to Galway the time I went.

It’s cold, wet and windy through the summer. Can think of places I’d rather go in Dec/Jan 🥶🥶

Did spend a lot of time in pubs and bars, and it didn't rain. Quite mild for December and the town centre was nicely decorated with various things going on.

Or would you prefer Ulster (if it turns out to be the alternative) :smt001

I went on an Easter tour with Loughborough back in 1970 to Galway and had a whale of a time! I « borrowed » a Guinness glass from a pub, still have it and will return it next time I go there!! Good memories, welcoming people. Would like to go if Tigers are drawn with them.

I don't belong to Mensa but I think we're playing Bordeaux and Connaught
