Which, as you allude to in your next paragraph, was only a technical penalty, with a yellow card at worst!

Sheedy laughing when he missed the conversion at 28-0 and then when he tried the grubber in his own 22 a few minutes later said it all for me about Brissol - thought they’d won it after 30 minutes . Putting the other week aside ..... glad they lost but taking the other week into consideration triple glad they lost.

On field stuff like hands in the ruck, offsides etc I don’t mind - all sides try it - but the off-field calculated skullduggery is something that really grates me. It will make Bris difficult to like for a while, despite Lam being an undeniably good coach with an exciting squad - although, he will have to answer questions about how mentally prepared his squad is after today.

Delighted for Quins. Lots of young and unsung talent and play a bonkers brand of rugby that is a lot of fun to watch - and, given their comebacks this season, their attitude, fitness and backbone needs serious praise. Well done Evans and the gang - what a group of talented coaches.

Bristol fans should be a bit worried though. Twice this season they have bottled knockout games they should have won (today was on a different level, mind). There’s obviously a mental fragility or laziness there and this could either scar or inspire them. Also, I am not sure if they have finished their recruitment but they are losing Malins, Earl and S Piutau (amongst others) and I have not yet seen any obvious replacements. There is a risk that - particularly without Sarries - this was their big opportunity and they have blown it.
The hand of Back was against the Scarlets. That’s at least like confusing Tigers with Saints. They’d love you for that! 😂

Munster, actually. They were in red though.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Really chuffed for Quins. They've been a revelation in the second half of the season. Everybody saying they couldn't beat the top clubs playing the way they do. Well, clearly that is wrong.

Chiefs were really good defensively.

Don't mind who wins just looking forward to the Final.

What a great day of Prem rugby.
Quins were absolutely exhilarating. If I’ve seen a more exciting, entertaining game of club rugby, I can’t recall it. The young backs stole the show - Smith, Green, Marchant, Lynagh but a huge shout out to Joe Marler. What a shift he put in for 90 something minutes. Loved the way he berated his hooker for lying on the wrong side to deny him a jackalling penalty and a great hit on Sheedy near the end.
On a different note, why on earth are Quins looking for a new head coach??

Hahaha thanks. At least I’ve not totally lost the plot. With the mention of a Welsh team, all I could picture was opponents in red! I can picture Stringer now complaining (I think!).
Was it the Scarlets with THAT Stimpson kick that came off the posts and bar before dropping over?

Plenty of heart from Quins.
A lack of it from the opposition.
Down to 13 at the end and they had an extra weeks rest.

Thought Marcus Smith had an outstanding game yesterday, surely Eddie must give him a run of games now to see if is good enough at international level.

Bristol overhyped. Unable to sustain their game for 2 halves. Saw that against us our pack is substantially better than Quins but we lacked the back play to put them away. (And a ref who let them get away with it)
Without Malins and Earl next season, top 4 might be a challenge.

I would be genuinely surprised if Quins beat Exeter and for that matter Sale had they won yesterday.
Exeter’s defence won’t leave the gaps that Bristol did and their forwards will force them into a wrestling match in the loose. The scrums will likely be even as the Exeter props are not scrummaging beasts but the likes of Cowan-Dickie will punch holes.

Simply put, the Bristol foreign players just are not nearly fit enough to last more than 60 minutes at tempo. Plus their front five are very lightweight. Great touch rugby a la New Zealand, but too flaky for the real world.
