So we had Kolbe on Murray,Kolbe head on head with Curry,Fafs high shot,Mako shoulder to head on Etzebeth,Itoje kneeling on De Allendes neck and Hoggs potential bite on Le Roux and not one of those has been deemed a citable offence? Hahahaha you have to laugh, and these people want wages this month? 😂

What is self evident is that this Lions series has not been good for the game.

The rugby has been poor- certainly not entertaining. No crowds. The media talk, questioning of the referee and TMO, Erasmus’s behaviour, poor discipline, not enough games.

Is this series going in inspire ? Hardly. I am not saying either side is more to blame but it has been a real disappointment. The worst series for nearly 40 years?

I think that's why I feel so negative about it, but also the plethora of internationals, especially where the PIs get pittance.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Has the rugby been poor or just not entertaining enough for you? There’s a difference.

If blood and thunder, big hits, stoppages, high kicks, reset scrums etc are your thing then it’s been superb. However, if you’re after line breaks, pacey wingers beating people and off loading out of the tackle then you’re going to be disappointed.

Probable Lions side for the Third Test , according to WalesOnline:

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rug ... y-21198211
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Total cop out from the citing commissioner.

Not saying Sinckler’s incident isn’t an event worthy of citing but for everything else to be swept under the carpet… like I said in a previous post, I think everyone will just be glad to see the series done and dusted and we can move on, the result was never gone be meaningful or comparable to other tours given the COVID situation and lack of game time from the Boks.

If the Lions as a commodity can survive 2005 it can survive this.

As I wrote earlier, Gatland has been a major player since his Wasps days in borderline practices, but Erasmus has taken it to a new level (eg Pandora's Box post), and also cast a shadow IMO over SA involvement in N Hemisphere. This level of citation, this level of accusation, this level of overt gamesmanship, to my mind has dragged the sport into unwanted territory, albeit presaged by some in the Prem and internationals in recent times (Gatland, Lam etc).
I agree. The second Test had my love of the sport wavering. It was sad to see the values (remember them?) dragged through the mud.

Erasmus's rant, referees under duress, Biggar's play-acting... remind me, what's the difference between rugby and football?
