How do you rate this season?

Post by Postiger2 »

8/10 for me.

A European final we really should have won. 6th in the table. Lots of young talent getting their chance and taking it.

Hoping some of the near-misses will make us stronger in time.

Borthwick gets a 9/10 from me as does the whole coaching team. Get a top attack coach in and we're cooking on gas IMHO.

European final, Champions Cup rugby secured, finished 6th up from 11th, lots of young talent, a successful season in my opinion.

Important not to put too much pressure on the lads though next season.

One of hope for further good fortune. The squad has obviously bought into the SB mindset. I don’t spend as much time behind the couch during Tigers game time. Next season is the push for the playoffs as the next step.

7/10 top 6 and a European final is nothing to be sneezed at but overall I found our attacking play lacking and still too make mistakes but HUGE progress has been made and the players and coaches are to be congratulated on that

8/10 for me. Massive improvement and a European final to boot. We have a pack now that is as good as any but we desperately need an attack coach to take us to the next level. Great season all round!

Forward play has come on in leaps and bounds, back play needs serious work. A long way from the finished article, that said its a season we should all celebrate and remember as Tigers have finally started the haul back to the top of premiership rugby.

I agree with that, my one main gripe would be our loss in Euro by wrong selection at SH, with JVP we could have won that, our kicking game lost it, WW and Youngs too same.

6.5/10 for me.

There has been improvement, but we are still some way off the top 4 there have been some odd selections especially in recent weeks & depending on who is leaving & coming in I might lower the mark.

Without an attack coach & playing the same style we won't progress next season, presumably in a league with an extra team, who are better than us presently.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Hope that Eriksen pulls through after collapsing.
Thoughts are with him.
It puts sport into a great perspective.

Very pleased. Remy bottle half empty..... And that's a good thing by the way.

A pack with some dog, some hefty ball carriers and youth coming through the ranks. What's not to like?

Some close calls going our way and maybe 4th was a possibility. Experience will teach the team how to close these tight games out.

Overall.....a happy bunny.

6.5/10 which is a massive improvement over 2/10 from last season. Still plenty to work on but at least we’re finally heading on an upward trajectory. Will only get better too with the young players coming through.

Considering where we were its a clear 8 or 9, but compared to where we can be maybe a 7. Huge progress, great development of youngsters, great coach. I think we would all have not believed we would havs come so far at the start of the season. Next season is the time to deliver. Our new 7 could be key. Having Montoya for longer too. I would like to see more in attack but forwards win matches and that looks good. A world class attack coach could make the difference. Looking up!
