Hats off to McPhillips for raising his game even though he is leaving, both he and Henry could have already been on holiday mentally but they both seem to be pushing on.

Thought there was to be a list of leavers at the end of the season....presumably the Club felt the need to 'farewell' him now owing to Carcassone announcing the signing?
Does this cement Diaz Bonilla's place in the squad?

Surely Bonilla has to be on his way if we’re letting a very promising and recently form player depart.

As mentioned SB must have a couple of options up his sleeve.

Maybe one of the academy players has caught his eye as 4th choice and we’ll be seeing some more competition coming in for Burns.

How long has Ford got left on his contract? I actually think we’ve looked better with McPhillps at 10 when it comes to ball in hand attack than we do with Ford.

Yeah in the statement about Henry the club confirmed that a full leavers list would be published after the season.

I expect that these two being announced early is solely down to their new clubs wanting the announcement. French league has finished I believe so they're probably announcing their last raft of signings a bit ahead of ours.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Apparently Ford's been playing through the season with a calf niggle which is maybe why we've not seen him at his running rugby best. A summer off should freshen him up and hopefully see him come back firing.

I think McPhillips will have a great time down in Carcassonne, lovely part of the world and he's really transformed in the last six months. I was hoping he'd stay.

Only if he has signed for another side first, then retired.....

McPhillips may have decided to leave himself if the French offer was a better prospect both financially and in terms of game time. We will never know but whatever the reason we wish him well for the future. Who knows, he may be back some day.
