Re: Player awards
Was tempted to go with Reffell.
But worried it might help increase Welsh interest
Could hear the wales online article.

Genuinely feel I could justify 3-4 in each category and that others are very hard done by not getting it. A great position to be in. Not talking about those with potential but about those delivering at the moment

Re: Player awards
Wiese (just - massive impact but tempered a bit by indiscipline)
Steward (just from Reffell - did he win it last year?)
Liebenberg (consistently high level of performances, good leadership)
Some of the England players miss out due to their comparatively low number of appearances for the Club.

Re: Player awards
Close in all categories between several players IMO, which is great to see and bodes well for the future. For me:
Newcomer: Jasper Wiese
Young Player: Freddie Steward
Player of the Year: Hanro Liebenberg
Let's hope they, and the others in the list all kick on and continue our 'recovery'.

Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

Blimey, the second thing we've agreed on in a year.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Re: Player awards
Wow you look at young player of the year - all of them you could put forwards a good case for them getting it. Shows how bright the future is.

Re: Player awards
A lot of players have excelled this year, difficult to choose, Harry Wells deserves a mention for player of the year, really puts himself about, a true Tiger in every sense of the word, but there are so many who have also put in their best shifts. Pleasantly surprised how well George Martin has stepped up from National 2 with Leicester Lions to getting a cap for England, puts in the hard graft and has taken a couple of steps towards becoming a great Tiger. Jasper Weise really lifted us earlier on in the campaign, exactly what we've been looking for and a call up to the Boks for the Lions tour says it all, however all those listed could be made a case for the title, the centres have stopped us leaking so many tries. All in all great for all those listed, but there are 15 on the pitch(well most of the time there are lol) and I cannot think of any player who has pulled on the jersey has been a failure, Henderson looks like a real find, James Whitcombe has done well, JvP has shown real pace and flair at 9, Tommy Reffell is fast becoming our best turnover star. Then there's the old guard who shore up the side when others are away, Dan Cole still doing it, and both Youngs brothers both in the set piece and the lose, Wigglesworth confounded my expectations, good experienced player for the squad. No ones mentioned George Ford, who has kept us in games with his astute tactics, we are blessed with the nucleus of a fine team, just need to get to know each other and gel together.
"If you want entertainment, go to the theatre," says Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. "Rugby players play the game to win.15/1/21.
