Post by kk20gb30 »

Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

My Saints mate met him a couple of times and says he’s a fabulous guy.

He is interviewed / contributes to a History of Rugby series on Amazon Prime and seems both friendly, hard and funny all at the same time. He recounts a story of knocking someone’s front teeth out, after warning them to stop pulling his jersey, when All Blacks were playing a Welsh club side and then sitting across the table from the bloke during dinner after the game. He said the bloke drank out on the tale for years afterwards :smt044

Talking of hard men in rugby, who do you think was the hardest man to play the game of rugby.

Wasn't it supposed to be Phil Pugh but Deano squashed that rumour 😉

He tackled with his face. Hard as nails. Definitely wanted him on my side if I was going to war.

I remember his performance v Clermont? in the HC. One of the best defensive club performances I've ever seen. Sarries were incredible that day!
