All made the training squad, JVP, Youngs & Ford miss out

Also no Marcus Smith - just realised no top 4 teams are there for playoffs
When turning down Lions Youngs mentioned he was looking forward to a summer off. No Ford could possibly be due to injury.

JVP will most likely be with the U20's also.

I know this is all preliminary and that players from top 4 teams haven’t been selected but really good news for both the players and the club.

No Barbeary might suggest he is not fit for this weekend?

Tom Willis has been tearing it up recently and could be a big find at 8 if given the chance. Some good young forwards in there, would have got Kpoku in over Robinson though.

Glad to see OHC and Parton in there too. So much depth in the back three that Loader and Sleightholme don’t get spots.

Squad will only get better when more are added from the top 4 teams.

Great work from the 6 that have been selected. Hopefully they all get on the pitch Vs Scotland A.

Eddie has suggested there will be different squads for each game so plenty of opportunities to impress.

Saracens are in their own playoffs/season still. Robinson is a good lineout jumper and calls Falcons lineout. Makes sense he's in to give the set piece a focal point as I don't think the other locks do that week to week.

Things I’ll be most looking out for.
The emergence of a lock. Itoje and Lawes are world class. Lawes has been on a different level since he’s been back and Launchbury is a very good international player but for me Hill and Ewels are distinctly ordinary at the top level. I’m struggling to see how Hill is a Lion! It’s a big drop off and the chance is there.
Back row: Wilson has been a very good servant for us but he’s on the way down the mountain now and looked out of place in the 6N,another big chance for someone to put their hand up!
10,12,13! I don’t want to see F and F again and I especially don’t want to see F, F and S EVER again! We’ve got world class wingers,use them!
Would anyone like to add to my points or add anything of their own?

I would suggest that writing Ford off is premature.
