30 seconds left in the half v 14 and twice Tigers hoof it aimlessly down the park.

That’s some compliment to how well our pack are doing as Falcons had to reorganise their entire front row ! A lot of talk about the bench today but a really dominant performance from our starting 15 ...well done fellas

We definitely took our foot of the gas, that said we have a lot of firepower to add from the bench

Only the scrum has been dominant after the first 20 if we are being honest. We’ve let Newcastle back into this and a +7 lead with 2 yellows after our start is a poor return imo

Maul less effective now Liebenberg's had to go off, he really holds it together for us in the maul.

I was just thinking exactly this. We have a quality bench though to come on and have another 6 min with a man advantage. Need an early score to stretch it to 2 scored ahead though

Yes I agree Scott, I had hoped for more but never felt like we were under pressure.

Falcons forced into an early front row change will only help us when we unload the bench! Really push home our dominance up front

In the premiership we have the 5th worse second half defence in the league compared to top 5 in the first half.

Tbf the falcons players were always bound, so still a maul. It's the headlock I didn't like
Agreed. Had him round the neck in clear view of the referee

Wouldn’t surprise me if we see uncontested scrums at some point!

That would mean the team not able to fill the front row, playing with 14 men!

Given the starting line up a 7 point lead is satisfactory.

Our defence has looked solid apart from one missed tackle that led to their try.

Job clearly not done yet but Falcons start the second half with 14 and we have a strong bench so still feeling hopeful.

The rule is still they have to drop a player if they go uncontested right?
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
