Was just thinking exactly that! That's possibly the strongest bench I've seen.. Genge, Youngs, Cole, Ford, Wiese, Lavanini.. :smt027

Like retaining the core of the team that won last week...

Salivating at that bench though!
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I really like this selection and as others have said - the bench, the bench, the bench means we are going to try and win this competition. I also like that McP is at SO and in my mind has overtaken or is very close to overtaking Zac in the pecking order.

My initial thoughts are I like this selection a lot.

15 Freddie Steward - First choice

14 Harry Potter - First choice

13 Matías Moroni - First choice

12 Matt Scott - arguably first choice but it's a close call with Kelly in fine form

11 Kini Murimurivalu - Very strong first or second choice and with Nadolo out gives us another great option in the back 3

10 Johnny McPhillips - deserves to keep his place after an excellent showing against Connacht. Strong back up on the bench

9 Richard Wigglesworth (c) - very experienced 9 who hopefully can control the game and has a quality 10 alongside him

1 Luan de Bruin - arguably first choice although close call with Ellis but he's been in excellent form

2 Charlie Clare - deserves to keep his place after an excellent showing against Connacht.

3 Joe Heyes - has been playing well and we have a quality replacement on the bench for added impact second half

4 Harry Wells - First choice

5 Cameron Henderson - deserves to keep his place after an excellent showing against Connacht.

6 George Martin - deserves to keep his place after an excellent showing against Connacht.

7 Tommy Reffell - First choice

8 Hanro Liebenberg - First choice back rower but maybe not at 8 but he's more than accomplished there

REPLACEMENTS - wow.. just fantastic impact off the bench.

16 Tom Youngs - club captain and hugely experienced.

17 Ellis Genge - potentially first choice but will add huge impact off the bench

18 Dan Cole - first choice but will add huge impact off the bench

19 Tomás Lavanini - can be hit and miss regarding discipline but will add huge impact off the bench

20 Jasper Wiese - first choice 8 and will add huge impact off the bench

21 Jack Van Poortvliet - very exciting replacement who will add great pace to the game and hopefully find holes in a tiring Falcons back line

22 George Ford - what a player to be able to bring on to control the game or potentially chase it if required

23 Dan Kelly - has been in fine form and my first choice 12 at the moment. Great sub to have.

This is a very exciting side. Massive impact off the bench and a handful of payers deservedly retaining their place from last weekend against Connacht. No Flood in the Falcons side but a few ex-Tigers in there. Will be a very different game to the league meeting a few weeks ago but with this side we should be winning this one. COYT :smt023

And this I guess is Ben Youngs second rest week so expect him back for the run in.

McP needs to back up last week, the service from 9 will be rather different though...

Leicester 3/10 for the win
Newcastle 11/4 for the win

8 point winning margin for Tigers is what Betfair are quoting
