So we could have a 6N team of
Van Wyk
Montoya
Cole
Snyman
Wells
Liebenberg
Van Staden
Weise
JVP
Burns
Nadolo
Socino
Moroni
Muri
Hegarty
With WW,Van Wyk,Potter,Porter,Scott,Olowefella,Kelly in the backs mix and that’s not even mentioning the forwards!

You'd think that Lancaster may be an 'easier' target as he's at Leeds and a move to a PL club would be more attractive to himLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:41 pmTommy Mathews, short trip down the road.Pellsey wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:36 pmOr Dan Lancaster!?amazing tiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:34 pm Rugby inside line now saying there is talk of a English youngster joining us as well they haven’t specified in which position maybe that’s the back row we are rumoured to be getting

If Ford is away with England and with Henry and McPhilips away, we definitely needed someone who is capable of taking over the kicking duties in addition to Freddie. Hegerty seems as though he may be capable of fulfilling that vital role.

Also would explain Rugby Inside Line having word on it given he's a Saints fan with contacts there?Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:53 pmMathews confirmed as leaving Saints…..longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:52 pmYou'd think that Lancaster may be an 'easier' target as he's at Leeds and a move to a PL club would be more attractive to him
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Scott and Kelly hopefully be away with their respective test sides. But yeah strength in depth looking really good. Bench could be Whitcombe, Youngs, Leatigaga, Green, Brink, Wig, Taute, Van Wyk.
God that’s leaving out Reffell too

RIL is complete scatter gun. It's like Ruck.com regurgitating rumours from elsewhere but just seems to concentrate more on midlands stuff. Similar to Ruck I've seen nothing to suggest they've got any inside info.
The only rumour I've heard around young English back rows was Aaron Hinkley potentially on the move from Exeter. It came from a Chiefs fan but I've heard nothing else to back it up mind. His knee injury this year has meant Capstick getting lots of exposure and presumably pushing ahead of Hinkley. At 22 Hinkley needs game time to fulfill his talent. He has bags of potential if he can stay fit.

He was shown as (unattached) in the England under 20s squad announcement last week.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:53 pmMathews confirmed as leaving Saints…..longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:52 pmYou'd think that Lancaster may be an 'easier' target as he's at Leeds and a move to a PL club would be more attractive to him

Would we really take on a Saints reject rather than look to our own academy? I note that Saints have also let Ryan Olowofela go as well.

Depends if he has been released because he has already signed elsewhere though. Because he is playing at the moment his new club, whoever that might be, might not have announced him to allow him to focus on the U20 6N. Not saying this is definitely the case, but doesn't mean he is a reject, could just have chosen to go elsewhere due to better opportunities.

I thought Matthews was Welsh (at least he played for Wales in age group rugby). Maybe also England qualified?Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:41 pmTommy Mathews, short trip down the road.Pellsey wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:36 pmOr Dan Lancaster!?amazing tiger wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 3:34 pm Rugby inside line now saying there is talk of a English youngster joining us as well they haven’t specified in which position maybe that’s the back row we are rumoured to be getting
