Jut had a thought RB, on the name of the topic. Would "Return of the Fredi" work?

That doesn't make any sense and suggests the anonymous player needs to know himself and his own mind better. Or was lying to you to make him look better for leaving. If he had a contract and didn't want to leave then why on earth would he. He's not a slave to go where Nottingham or AN Other Prem Club tell him to go.TheChild wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 3:47 pm
Not Tigers involved in this one- but I can recall one occasion where a couple of days before our biggest game of the season, a club with ‘links’ decide they want our first choice prop to warm their bench. Said prop doesn’t want to go, we can’t spare him but club with ‘links’ insist they must have him. He’s on for ten minutes, then he returns to us. Following that said club hound us so much to sign him that we eventually give in. He’s under contract, we don’t want to let him go, he doesn’t want to go etc. Then said club changes their mind leaving him without a club.
This is what happens when clubs develop ‘links’ the Prem club thinks they automatically have first choice of every single member of the other team’s squad, especially ones who have no links to the other team.
Goooooodeeeeeyyyyy!

Evening folks. Given the improvements in the squad over the last 12 months, here's something looking at the squad, and seeing what needs adding in.

Doesn't seem to be much truth in the 'We'll announce leavers after the last game' malarkey! Going to be an interesting summer!

Nice place Carcassonne. Did fireworks on the battlements once!

Hmm. I'm rather surprised that he didn't have any other offers apart from a mid-table French ProD2 club that is most unlikely to be challenging for promotion to the Top14. But over here, it's been billed as a big signing for Carcassonne.

I’m gutted by that departure. Thought McPhillips had shown up really nicely and showed the right attitude and skills Borthwick was looking for.
Can’t help but think there’s another 10 coming in, more surprising with Diaz Bonilla not have been played since January? (*don’t quote me on that).
Honestly intrigued to see the leavers list and expect some more surprises after the last couple of days…

He’s got something about him but maybe he wasn’t happy playing 3rd choice to Fordy and Burns or even 4th choice if Bonilla staysRobespierre wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 7:05 pmHmm. If Bonilla goes then we really are short at FH!

Got to admit, didn’t see that one coming! Had thought for all money that Diaz Bonilla would be off leaving a GF, FB, JMc standing. Odd releasing the news this week instead of last, giving the fans an opportunity to say ‘thanks’ in person. Unless the clubs hand has been turned by the players new clubs announcing...

Agreed we’d need a 4th but 3 international 10s ain’t bad if he does stay!Scott1 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 7:14 pmWe are short even if he stays imo.DeadlyDunc wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 7:10 pmHe’s got something about him but maybe he wasn’t happy playing 3rd choice to Fordy and Burns or even 4th choice if Bonilla staysRobespierre wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 7:05 pm
