Our best players of 2021

The Mercury has do a piece on our best 5 players of 2021.
Their picks were
4= Steward
4= Liebenberg
3 Brink
2 Wiese
1 Montoya

Personally I'd go with
5= Brink
5= Moroni
4 Steward
3 Liebenberg
2 Montoya
1 Wiese

I think Moroni has also been key to our defensive organisation, we struggled a lot when against Quins when he wasn't in the centres so gets in my list, though I couldn't exclude Brink who has stepped up more as he continues his recovery from injury. Wiese pips Montoya for me at the top.

Intrested in others views.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Definitely wouldn’t have Brink ahead of Liebenberg. As it’s only talking about 2021 I’d say Montoya would be right up there. Tight call but I’d go:

5. Brink
4. Steward
3. Liebenberg
2. Montoya
1. Wiese

*edit - just checked your choice TFS and realised I’ve chosen exactly the same! So I guess based on that I would be inclined to agree with you :smt023
Oakham lad born and bred, Tigers season ticket holder who is enjoying steady progression back towards the good old days!

I think that list is good, however I also think that in any other season Steward would be 1 or 2?

isn't it great that, despite his excellent form freddie is not number 1 pick?

Its superb to have a good number of players competing well for this "award"

Montoya has made a big difference in his short time here especially steering driving mauls

Given some of the abject recruitment and player development over the past few seasons. It's great to see our top performers are all new to the squad. This has to be one of the clearest signs of progress under Borthwick

I agree with the list but I think although he does not deserve to be in the top 5, Zack Henry deserves a mention in dispatches
