Agree with the comments about missing Montoya and the potential Creevy match up - a shame.
A stronger looking Tigers line up, despite the missing 'stars'. Fear that we will again miss the line-breaking and ball carrying skills of Wiese, Liebenberg and Nadolo.
Irish definitely seem to benefit from having a settled team, and without any major disruption from international call-ups.
It always seems to be a tight game against them, especially for some reason at Welford Road, and I think this one will be similar.

Borthwick's comments seem to imply that there's a few injuries behind this selection, so think it likely Montoya is carrying a knock.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Well he certainly puts it about so it wouldn’t surprise me.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:51 pm Borthwick's comments seem to imply that there's a few injuries behind this selection, so think it likely Montoya is carrying a knock.

Earlier in the season we used to get ‘team talk’ videos of Steve discussing the team, which seem to have disappeared in recent weeks. Anyone know as to why this may be as I found them quite insightful when it came to selection questions.

Worryingly, Irish have C.Rona at 13.........
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

If it's down to Moroni he'd have the pandemic tacked in a week.

I have a feeling when Scott & Moroni click they could be a great centre partnership. Both lead in defence too so confident with them against LI.

General communication from the club this season had been poor.tigercub21 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:56 pm Earlier in the season we used to get ‘team talk’ videos of Steve discussing the team, which seem to have disappeared in recent weeks. To win is not as important as playing with style!

Would be worse if he was 19

Agreed, in the summer they seemed to brand themselves as now being ‘transparent’ with the fans. So far that has not happened this season to the point at which we aren’t even allowed to know if a player is injured.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:52 pmGeneral communication from the club this season had been poor.tigercub21 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:56 pm Earlier in the season we used to get ‘team talk’ videos of Steve discussing the team, which seem to have disappeared in recent weeks. That seems to be Borthwick preference though in that regard.

Its interesting that Bonilla is not in the squad for tomorrow. Montoya is obviously injured so we are playing with just using 1 of the overseas players.
So assuming Bonilla isn't injured, he has been dropped below Mcphillips in the pecking order.
not particularly surprised but just thought it was interesting

True that's likely, though it could possibly be that rumours of Lavannini having an Italian passport and it is instead him that is taking an overseas slot rather than Montoya.Rob18C wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:59 pm Its interesting that Bonilla is not in the squad for tomorrow. I like the full use of the squad of players, rotation and the use of youth was something we were all clamouring for, we now have it and slowly but surely there are signs that they are all playing off the same hymn sheet.

I think Moroni and Lavanini are our "overseas" players arent they?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 4:02 pmTrue that's likely, though it could possibly be that rumours of Lavannini having an Italian passport and it is instead him that is taking an overseas slot rather than Montoya.Rob18C wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:59 pm Its interesting that Bonilla is not in the squad for tomorrow.
