Re: Tigers on Loan Watch
Correct.
Super Rugby AU rights were up for tender at the end of last season and Nine Media (with their streaming subsidiary, Stan) bid far more than Foxtel were willing to offer, though less than the previous Fox deal.
It does mean that 1 game per week is now available on free-to-air Australian TV for the first time in Super Rugby history, but that also meant that Sky UK couldn't get easy/cheap access from their NewsCorp sister company this year.

Correct. The World Rugby streaming page is the second link in my post above.

Nice to see Olowofela on a pitch again. Even if only for a few minutes.
SAR to Coventry - company for Lewis - with a heavy heart I think both SAR and Lewis won't be Tigers next season
Re: Tigers on Loan Watch
I hope Western Force aren't usually that bad, otherwise I seriously doubt he's going to learn much about tackling or defensive organisation over there!

Re: Tigers on Loan Watch
SAR loan makes loads of sense, after a big injury, he needs gametime and this way hopefully he can maximise his potential.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
Re: Tigers on Loan Watch
Actually the Force defence was holding back the Brumbies attack on their tryline for a solid 5 minutes of repeated pressure prior to the first try being scored.
The second half was also 14-14, with Force having most of the possession & territory after the interval. It was the first half that killed them! A last minute change on matchday with one of the starting locks (Thrush) withdrawing injured, the starting FH (McIntyre) going off injured after 8 minutes, and the starting tighthead (Holmes) going off injured after 23 mins. That would be hard enough, but when you are playing the title favourites at their home ground, it doesn't make it that straight-forward.
Force haven't gelled as a team yet this season, but that's what happens when you have to pretty much rebuild from scratch, having been kicked out of the competition by your home union through no fault of your own...
Olowofela did a good job of nearly stopping the final Brumbies try with his first action but couldn't quite wrap Muirhead up enough as he tracked across & tackled him on the try line.

Nottingham v Coventry 5.30 pm 27th March
Sam Lewis on the bench for Coventry. Could do with a rest I suppose, he's had lots of starts.
Jordan Coghlan starts at 8 for Nottingham. No sign of Joe Browning and the others getting a run out yet.
Charlie Thacker (ex Tigers) also starts for Notts

Re: Tigers on Loan Watch
With SAR the first to go on loan since the cup has been postponed, do we expect any others to go now? I'd quite like to see Thom Smith getting some gametime.
