Well, that’s Ealing ticked off. Horrible to get to, M40 closed for an accident. Ground is ok but hardly anyone there, difficulty to imagine where their support will come from if they get promoted. And then there’s the pitch....

Nottingham completely outplayed. Lots of changes though. Vanes contested well and took his try nicely. Aside from that, it was all about defence !

That's a shame - the Championship really could do with more exposure.

Of course it will only become an issue when one of the clubs goes under (a distinct possibility) and with the standard dropping, it no longer offers young premiership players experience and game time, as a stepping stone for top level rugby. It may be too late by then.

Well, Nottingham didn’t really turn up at the Butts Arena......errors and intercepts gift wrapped to Coventry. Pretty much done and dusted at half time. Lancaster played at 12 and was solid without being great. Browning tried but didn’t get much ball. The bench emptied but Notts couldn’t get a foothold. Ask me how much I hate their pitch......

A game between two poor teams, lacking confidence. The balls Browning received he dropped and was replaced after half time. Odd to see the Cov scrum destroyed by Notts. Richardson had a torrid time. Notts at least finished on a high with a brilliant individual try from David Williams.
