Doncaster have really boosted Saracens chances of a top two finish with a 17-15 win over the Pirates.

Not really. Both teams had won 3 out of 3 going into the match.

If Ealing win tomorrow that will be two teams with 4 out of 4.

And Doncaster have a ground that would permit promotion if they qualify, Pirates do not.

Richmond 3 Saracens 32
Ealing 75 Hartpury 17

Top of the table:
Ealing P4 W4
Donny P4 W4
Pirates P4 W3
Saracens P3 W2

Sarries next 3 fixtures:

Bedford (H)
Doncaster (A)
Ealing (H)

Presumably they will have all their England boys back in for Donny and Ealing.

Those first two listed are big games.

If Ealing and Donny won it would be some pressure on Sarries when they visit Donny next week.

However, I'm sure Saracens will beat Bedford comfortably and I presume they will have internationals in the squad for Doncaster.

Personally, I dont think that Doncaster will worry Saracens.......they have enough firepower to win all there remaining games.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Ealing now have a guaranteed top 2 finish.

As Fowkes did it on a part time basis I wonder if one of Tigers academy coaches might go for it. Remain working with the Tigers academy but also coach Newcastle. If we are bringing in a dedicated attack coach it might free Matt Smith up. Would give us a dedicated link up with Nottingham and maybe create the opportunity for more development squad players to get game time there.

Incidentally anyone know why Dimen isn't playing for them, is he injured?

Really strong starting XV for Sarries today and no surprise to see them win comfortably.

They play Doncaster and Ealing next two games and you would think they would be built up enough of a head of steam to win both. However, there will be a little bit of pressure and of course these are going to be like cup finals for Donny and Ealing who must also be feeling good coming about their performances.

Don't see how that could be given no team has played more than 5 matches in a 10 game season :smt017
