Pat Howard turning out for Ealing, they must have accepted they cannot win it, hope he doesn't do himself any harm. :smt005

I presume that Saracens will complete their demolition of Ealing this afternoon and while the romantic in me wishes it were not so the realist suggests that were Ealing to come up this is the sort of pummelling they would get every time they met a top six side.

Saracens 3 Ealing 7 after 15 minutes. Ealing more than holding their own. Long may it last.

Now this is TIC... perhaps Pearce has got one of those companies that Saracens are famous for? :smt044

57-15 at the end.

Glad that has been done and dusted.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the Championship now.

What I meant was, Pearce likes to be a laughy/ jokey sort of ref and it was all first names with Saracens and numbers with Ealing. Now, ok, Saracens players are far more well known - internationals, Lions etc and Pearce has reffed them a number of times but the disparity was clear.

The damage to the game is not finished. It will be with us for at least another 5-10 years. The inflation of players wages has driven the game in this country to a point where it was even more financial unstable. They have tarnished the values of the game and made a mockery of fair competition. They have the same ownership and have shown no real remorse. None of the players have lost out at all as far as I can tell. Their punishment was a fine- drop in the ocean for them- and demotion for one year. They will come up next year with a very similar first XV.

Forgiveness for Saracens? Give over.

Should've been stripped of their domestic and European titles for me. No salary cap in Europe you say,so what! They still used the same dodgy assembled squad so it had a huge bearing on them winning in Europe.
