Someone on Twitter suggested yellow bibs in training may be giving an idea at the planned team for Saturday.

If true you'll be getting your wish, as it suggests the starting team will have the following players in it:

Nadolo
JVP
De Bruin
Cole
Lavannini
Brink
Liebenberg
Wiese

Not starting would be

Bonilla
Wallace

There's one guy not we get only the smallest sliver of in a scrum cap (& said yellow bib) I think may be Martin but not sure in the one pic? So maybe him and Lavannini in the 2nd row.

And I know I should maybe know but not sure who the guy tackling Brink is from looking at his back.
Add in
Henry
Scott
Moroni
Ok to my mind that's even more an indicator

15
14
13 Moroni
12 Scott
11 Nadolo
10 Henry
9 JVP
1 De Bruin
2
3 Cole
4 Lavannini
5 Wells/Martin
6 Brink
7 Liebenberg
8 Wiese

Certainly looks like it could be early plans for the team
Guessing we would keep Liebenberg at 6 with Brink slotting in at 7.

Filling in the gaps then with Steward, Murimurivalu, Youngs (although I would love it to be Montoya!)

Well today's Twitter post throws doubt on this theory, though that could be cus they're wearing bibs for a different purpose but virtually all were wearing yellow bibs (could always be Bondi winding us up)

If Back row is Brink, Liebenberg & Wiese then I supect Brink is 6 amd Liebenberg 7, think that's how we started vs Cheifs isn't it?
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Pretty sure Brink started at 7 for that game and Liebenberg at 6. Liebenberg is settling in nicely at 6 so wouldn't changes things

Wuss is lovely to visit, great food, great fans. Last time I went Shazam and To'omua gave a masterclass and Holmes did his hamstring on the plastic. Senior son who knows his rugby (Wales schools, Shoguns) had never seen Shazam before and asked why he wasn't a first choice at another club.

The organic infill is a natural brown colour and consists of organic mix including shredded coconut fibres and gives the impression of being 100 per cent natural as players get muddy rather than suffering friction burns.

The 'grass' is still 'plastic' though. It is indisputable that for some players these pitches can cause more severe injuries.

I agree with an earlier post that it is one of the nicer grounds to visit, fans, food and beer all good :smt023

I refer to any pitch that isn't grass as "plastic".

For me rugby is an outdoor winter game played on grass with all its variations with mud, snow and puddles.

I accept there is not problem with a stadium having a roof thus preventing it freezing and the match being cancelled but must be open during the game so that the random element of wind, rain sleet or dazzling sunshine can be allowed to play their part.

Can't stand the Millenium stadium with its roof closed. As a spectator you might as well have your head in a bucket with eyeholes cut out. Open thr roof and it becomes a proper stadium for playing rugby and for the fans too.

Is it though? Haven't all the studies so far shown no statistical difference between injuries on the different types of pitch.

And teams that have these and therefore play on themore regularly don't have more of a certain type of injury than another

Please let's not have the plastic pitch debate. It's been done to death. It is what it is.

As for checking who is wearing what bibs in training. :censored: me, lockdown is messing people up big time.

A couple of side issues for this weekend. For the first time Premiership rugby will instigate fines for covid protocol breaches :

https://www.rugbypass.com/news/premiers ... s-weekend/

Also today (Fri Feb 5) voting takes place to decide whether relegation from the Premiership will be suspended , due to the on going Covid pandemic.

I think the update on that vote is that it wont happen today - still awaiting feedback from league sponsors - but it will happen soon
