It also relies on you kicking well which Farrell has not. Our back three has been horrifically out of sorts as well. Scotland have controlled the game completely through tactical kicking. If they weren't so wasteful in our 22 we'd have been given a real hiding.

Regardless of Farrells kicking - you give away 10 penalties in 23 minutes you never get a foothold in the game. But there has to be a Plan B - he’s an international coach yet he is slavish in his pursuit of this game plan. It’s all we saw in the autumn and not only is it dull but if you’re discipline is poor , like today , you are shagged.

I do like Dan tbf,hasn’t got much more than the chop tackle but does it well.
