With you there. Afraid my involvement with the blazers in the late 90s, coming on the end of the Tafia in the early 90s, meant a disinterest in the connivance of the latter and the upper class contempt of the former.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 4:35 pmTigers first, then Lions...England not particularly interested (in any sport tbh)...hangover from the "Selection" Policy when I started watching Union properly.

The powers that be seem to care. They've scheduled the championship decider between France and Wales for the very last match.Scott1 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 4:39 pmWho cares about Wales though really? jokes aside though the PRO14 is an awful league and is really just a vehicle for European and international rugby.Dokie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 4:28 pmHahaha, love this in-house English 'I'm a bigger fan than you!!' cat fighting. Rugby has traditionally closed down in Wales on international weekends. Don't understand why England have never done the same. It's only very recently that the odd weekend games have slipped in to the schedule but they don't overlap like on Saturday.

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
France should be good enough for a Grand Slam, but with two away matches in Dublin and Twickenham, they may have to wait another year.
Their objective however, is the 2023 World Cup in France, where they will be among the favourites to win! I just hop)e they don't peak too soon.

England team up
England: Daly; Watson, Slade, Lawrence, May; Farrell (capt), Youngs; Genge, George, Stuart, Itoje, Hill, Wilson, Curry, B Vunipola.
Replacements: Cowan-Dickie, Obano, Williams, Lawes, Earl, Robson, Ford, Malins.
Would prefer to see Malins start instead of Daly

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
Looks like a side to batter the Scots in the first half then George Ford on to cut them to bits unleashing some runners later on??

Could start with Ford to do the same from the beginning.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:27 am Looks like a side to batter the Scots in the first half then George Ford on to cut them to bits unleashing some runners later on??
Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
I think the stronger team has Ford at 10 with Farrell at 12 and Lawrence on the bench but I'm guessing EJ wants to see Lawrence on his 4th cap having a longer run against what he may think is a relatively 'easy' home fixture. Either way we have a strong side and I am expecting a good win.

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
Let's face it unless Daly insults Eddie's dog he will always be picked, same goes for other players. Good to see that Obano could make his long overdue cap from the bench, however knowing Eddie he will either come on for 50 seconds or not at all.

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
I think EJs dog is more suited to International Rugby at 15 than Daly.
