Quite right too. Really poor example to set. Not only in the swearing but in the "petulant brat" routine when being spoken to.

I bet Hartley is a bit puzzled, he got red carded for allegedly saying something to Wayne that he thought he heard directed to him, thanks Dylan.

That's true. But this was an ill phrased question rather than an accusation of cheating.

I thought that Sinckler had every right to be annoyed as that attempted tackle from LCD was the type of out of control dive into the knees that can potentially lead to ending a players career with a permanent limp.
LCD dived in and missed the wrap.
If you can't do it right at that speed then slow down.
Meatheads.
Still no need for the swearing given it was live, but I've heard much worse.

I think Joe Simmonds got away with one of those tackles in the match, it looked like a shoulder barge to the knees. Too much of it in the game due to the almost impossibility of stopping the pick and go (when done well) through other means.

Absolutely delighted by Sinckler's citing and hope that in no way the public apology mitigates the consequences of his actions.Terrible example from a player that really should know better. Genuinely hope any punishment exceeds the minimum permissible two weeks ban.
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

I watched the Chiefs v Bears game last night. Really enjoyable game - very physical, great defences but a fair amount of good attack/offloads/handling aswell. Bristol were good for the win and showed they are ready to mount a challenge to win the thing this season.

Sinckler incident wasn't all that really. Maybe give him a one match ban.

The citing of Sinckler totally undermines the ref, he heard the comment and dealt with it, what is the point in having a hearing, leave the refs to deal with it, if they do not see it or make a clear error OK but you must allow refs to remain in charge!
For me he should have got a yellow card, no way was it a red!

Dickson is a former teammate of Sinckler and hence probably cut him some slack. Sinckler swore at a referee that is a red card all day everyday immaterial of why he was complaining or how bad what he said was. This is rugby we complain about football antics creeping in and if you don't deal with cases like this then football antics is what you are going to get.

The problem is swearing at the ref is much more common these days. There's plenty of occasions when the ref has talked to the captain about players swearing at them e.g. Biggar, and noone has got cited or banned. Seems like double standards to charge Sinckler after the ref had spoke to him on the field.

Players dont swear at Nigel or Wayne though which is a telling point.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Not since Dylan Hartley proved that it was a bad idea.

The citing does undermine the referee, but it has to happen nonetheless - the right message has to be sent and if the referee isn't strong enough to do that, then the authorities have to step in.

Sinckler gets two weeks and will miss England's 6N opener against Scotland.

Two week ban is ridiculous, should have been a minimum of 6 weeks.
Any assault on a referee should be a lifetime ban and swearing at a ref should be a ban of 6 to 8 weeks, this is rugby not football!!!!
