Bit of a scrap at the end. Glaws might be annoyed that they didn't get the penalty for the Sale water carrier stopping a quick lineout and instead it's Twelvetrees who pretty much put him in the stand that got binned.

Didn’t someone do it the previous Wasps game too?

Didn't see the whole Gloucs sale game but they both looked poor to me.

Yep the penalty really should have been against the water carrier as he stopped a quick lineout or perhaps Curry for escalating matters. Some poor calls by the officials in both games today. That being said the result only helps us out so can’t complain too much!

I would respectfully suggest that Sale have 2 points deducted for that "gamesmanship" at the end. Billy 36 could have taken a quick throw with who knows what result. The action of the water carrier materially affected the game. It may be that Glos would have been unable to capitalise but ?...

I would expect a reprimand for the water carrier. Fine and ban from being pitch side for a couple of weeks. I don't think the quick throw in was particularly on and as it was a knock on into touch there would have been the option. Twelvetrees should have kept his head, if he doesn't send the water carrier flying and just explains to the ref what's happened it's probably a penalty for Glaws.

Good point, Sam but without a tough sanction I suspect others may be tempted in future, As was pointed out in commentary, and is obvious from the screen, there is an army of "water carriers" now who may be tempted.

Or at least had it been a penalty to Glos then the match is a draw with 2 points each

One thing to note is that the ball came towards him rather than him moving left or right to touch the ball and was behind the barrier.....could have been a fan touching the ball in normal conditions. Twelvetrees should not have reacted as he did....hey ho.....lets see if any action is taken in the next 48 hours.

Can anyone refresh my memory of it happening in another game where a water carrier ran a blocking line please? Or did I dream it? 😜

Wasps will miss Rowlands when he goes to Wales next season.
Yeah the evolution of Rowlands as a player has been quite dramatic. He was such an average player and then hit some late development at the same time as Launchbury refound his form. Strong lock combo now. Richard Blaze is really getting the most out of them.

Rumours that Stooke will be his replacement. He looked like he was going to be some player initially but never quite fulfilled his potential. Perhaps they think they can bring him on as they did with Rowlands. There's certainly ability there to be brought out.
I'm a big fan of Stooke, if Blaze can get the best out of him at Wasps surely he will be knocking on England's door again.
