That would be pretty disappointing. Reckon we should be looking at 7-8 points from those 3 games as a minimum

Sadly they will have all been mixing in training so I’d be surprised if we can field a team at all.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 5:25 pmOh no, not good, hopefully have enough players not concede. Under the old rules a 28-0 (5 points to 0) win for Newcastle would have been pretty hard to take but under the new rules a 0-0 score and a 4-2 points allocation in Newcastle’s favour isn’t actually that bad.
We should be winning the next 2 against Bath and Saints so 10 points or so from these 3 games would actually be a great return.
Ultimately, health has to come first and I hope whoever has tested positive makes a speedy recovery and the rest of the lads stay safe.
Big picture, health and family come first
Happy Christmas everyone and stay safe

Re: Boxing Day vs Newcastle
On balance, two match points and zero points difference away to the in form Falcons is probably a good outcome - as long as all the players and staff are ok.
Still, I'd rather have had a game of rugby to watch, and missing out on a really tough game will not help the team's development. Such a shame, but we all knew it was inevitable at some point and we might find there is very little professional rugby played in January and February.

This season could be decided by Covid Tests.
At some point the premise of competitions becomes pointless surely?

Quite possibly, but hopefully not. It would be a real shame if at the end of the season all everyone is talking about is "Team X only achieved Y because Z games were called off".Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 6:57 pm This season could be decided by Covid Tests.

Positives from this.
2 points from a tricky away fixture
This fulfils all the rest weeks for England players.
Lets hope everyone is ok, especially those like Lavannini with his baby.

Is that definite about 4-2 points allocation?Tiglon wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 6:56 pm On balance, two match points and zero points difference away to the in form Falcons is probably a good outcome - as long as all the players and staff are ok.

It says “ Premiership Rugby will make a further announcement on the allocation of points for the fixture when a panel has been convened.
But, following a rule change in November, the Premiership will no longer automatically award five points to teams when the opposition is unable to field a side because of coronavirus.
League bosses said then that a four-point win would be awarded to the club able to name a side, with two points to the team forced to cancel.
This is the first Premiership postponement since the new season began, although several games have been called off in the two European trophies. “
So if it’s already been decided why does a panel need to be convened?
