It was nice to see that when we actually used our wings it was effective.

He looked in top form for Fiji too.RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:34 pm Nadolo looks quick.
His conditioning work over the off season looks to have really paid off.
Probably helps that we gave him a rest until the 80th minute

Who's the bloke at Edinburgh who signed De Bruin?
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000

A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Let’s hope we do it more often as it brought 2 tries in the last 10 or so minutes! Plus it’s a damn sight more interesting to watch!RagingBull wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:37 pm It was nice to see that when we actually used our wings it was effective.

Can't blame him. Game's lost and there's a massive 20 something stone Fijian coming flying at you.
Much better performance, obviously not the finished article but better. We looked organised in defence and set piece. Attack still needs some work but the impact of Ford was massive. The impact of Youngs less so, I think White added more tempo. Hopefully someone tells Youngs that and fires him up.
Much needed game time for Lavanini who looked rusty early doors but improved over the 80. Moroni looks classy already and should get better as his sharpness returns. A lot to be positive about, that giant Bok prop looking a monster at the scrum icing on the cake.

Wasn’t Youngs directly involved in both tries we scored out wide? Thought he made a pretty decent impact off the benchsam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:42 pm 1

And the previous 70 minutes of softening them up had nothing to do with it of course...OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:39 pmLet’s hope we do it more often as it brought 2 tries in the last 10 or so minutes! The big positive for me is that we seem to be developing into a big, nasty pack. The back play remains WIP but if we can continue to dominate up front we are going to be hard to beat which is the fundamentals you need to start the “journey”

I see Newcastle's winning run has been ended tonight, right time for a European break to bring them down to earth too...
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

That scrum should serve us well if we can keep it going.
