Tigers v Chiefs

Post by ourla »

In some ways a free shot - after last weekends performances nobody will be expecting a Tigers win.

I would expect to see a reaction from the Tigers from Sunday but equally we will need one as Exeter are a bit of a runaway train at the minute.

I will be watching from behind the sofa.

Think this will be more about our performance than the result itself. Also expect some rotation, Liebenberg and Wiese could probably do with a rest. I’d like to see.

Just play the basics, and try to keep the penalties down. I just want to see them have a good go.
It's a defensive test, so I'd like to see them defend well. Make Exeter think, they'll think it's gonna be easy so make as hard as possible for them.
If we're in with a shout of a BP at the end I'd be 'happy'.

I just get a feeling, we might put out the dirt trackers, I really hope not.

I watched the Saints v Quins game. Amazing how Qins got 2 team mates to the tackled player mere seconds after he hit the deck to protect and re-cycle the ball. Something I felt sorely missing for Tigers against LI. I'd like to see this at least against Chiefs.
I'm not cynical just experienced

Come on people. You know the song,
We learn every game. We take what we learn and try to improve. I see great things from the squad on the training field. They are 100% committed to the club. We need to get better and that will come with time. We are aiming to get to the very top where we belong. We didn't implement what we had been doing on the training field. I put out a team and were expecting to win every game. Blah blah blah blah "simply having a wonderful christmas time"

Is this the point were Borthwick has to turn the oil tanker back the other way because he didn’t want to run over a puppy or something?

Trouble is we used to hear some of these quotes from Cockers as it all started to unravel.

Not very patient are you?
Some talked of giving a new coach at least a season with a full pre-season, this year we have not had that and are 2 games in.
