Not the only effective thing we could do with......kk20gb30 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:26 am Can only be viewed as good news.Sport with fan participation however is dependent on how (our) society and its infrastructure copes with the continual threat of Covid .A spike over the festive season could see everyone and everything back to square one , and indeed the country back into lockdown.
Really could do with an effective vaccine roll out.....

It looks as though Gloucester, Northampton, Bath, Worcester, Quins, Irish will be able to have 2000 fans though.

Hinckley & Bosworth is the only constituency in Leicester & Leicestershire that has rates per 100k that are below 300 (Areas with rates of 300+ per 100k for infections is one of the factors which determines an area being put into Tier 3).

Re: Fans back in Stadiums?
Leicester is in tier 3 because of petty agendas? Or maybe it's because of all the covid...
Re: Fans back in Stadiums?
Melton less than 300 too along with other areas of Leicestershire: the map on the show made no sense as I’m sure we all saw!!
Re: Fans back in Stadiums?
285.7 in Melton Mowbray, can’t believe our stupid MP was lobbying Boris to get Melton to tier 2, it’s the best thing to have happened putting the whole county into tier3.
Franck Tournaire Number 1 fan.

Please try to stick to the topic. It is a very difficult time for many and whilst politics is part of it, criticism/supportive reveiws of political views need to be restrained...sports and politics do not mix well.
Please keep any political veiws to yourselves as this is a sporting forum.

That's easy to say, but on this topic the two are intertwined.Tigerbeat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 10:30 pm Please try to stick to the topic. The layout of the constituencies will also skew things - some are really bizzarre just to make up a constituency. So some like Blaby will have parts that blend into the city, yet other parts are literally miles away with vastly different rates.

As it stands the following Clubs are permitted 2000 fans commencing the end of Lockdown (Tier 2 catchment):
Worcester, Gloucester, Bath, Exeter, Harlequins, London Irish and Northampton.
The remainder must continue to play behind closed doors post Lockdown (Tier 3 catchment):
Bristol, Wasps, Newcastle, Sale and Leicester.

Re: Fans back in Stadiums?
Which tier an area is in is determined by 5 numbers. So, an area may have a lower infection rate but still be in a higher tier.
As well as infection rates the government also looks at rates in the over-60s which closely predict future hospital cases; it also considers how fast cases are rising or falling and the proportion of tests coming back positive which indicate how many infected people are being found. Finally, local NHS occupancy rates are factored in.
