Homework

Post by Rod »

When Steve Borthwick says the players have been working hard at home during lockdown, what does he mean? Is it physical fitness, practicing skills, learning the play book for line-out calls etc, studying personal videos, studying videos of Gloucester's game plan. Just how much can be done in isolation? Anybody know?

One of the things he said was Dan Cole had been pushing his car...

That sort of thing is so individual though, position played, house facilities/space etc.. SB said they were looking at it for all players in a case by case basis.

Essentially coaches will have spoken to each, they'll know what gym equipment they all have at home so very least they'll be expected to do strength and conditioning.

Good thing though as of Yesterday they're back at the training ground together.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

All of the above.

I am sure that SB and the coaching team are not just leaving it to the players. Each will have a detailed daily plan which will be closely monitored and feedback given.

If you have a read around then you will see that most of them were training alone in car parks, at home, wherever they could because of the current crisis. In one clip one of the players had his Dad (?) chucking balls to home fropm a roof. Anicelittle side story to the epic game that eventually resulted (along with old Pablo's commentsto the ref).
