So the rumours I’ve seen are:
Wasps want Searle back to replace Sopoaga
Manu signs a 2 year contract extension
Sale want to sign Jannis du Plessis
Matt Sherratt leaves Worcester back coach role to join Cardiff
Tom Hudson getting interest from Worcester

Are you sure that’s the right Du Plessis? Jannie is still playing I think but why would Sale want a 38 year old prop unless it’s for coaching.

I'd have thought Jacques du Plessis would have been more inkeeping with their current signings. They were rumoured to be after Schonert but didn't get him so maybe they are after a tighthead and just want someone experienced as back up? I doubt they'd want him as a coach, they've got two forwards coaches already one of which is Dorian West who I presume looks after their scrum.

Yes I’m talking about the 38 year old prop. Apparently it could involve a coaching role but mainly seen as a player. Age just look at Afoa. They have tried and failed in signing a replacement for John so far. They tried to signing Schonert but failed. JCW and Oosthuizen have been awful for them so far. So they are desperate for a scrummaging tighthead. Like I said just a rumour but I could see it happening.

Prop is honestly one of those positions having a player in his late 30's isn't a bad thing.

I don't think Oosthuizen has been that bad, I have been disappointed by Cooper-Woolley though. Really rated him at Wasps and thought he was good enough to play for England.Swagger wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 11:51 amYes I’m talking about the 38 year old prop. 11 months younger tbf. My point was he is having another good season and has signed a 1 extension (taking him to 38) showing that a prop can still perform well even at that age. Just giving a reasoning to a rumour I saw that is all.

Very true. If you can rotate them to keep them fresh then they can very much be an asset.RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 1:00 pm Prop is honestly one of those positions having a player in his late 30's isn't a bad thing.

Billy Searle rumoured back to Wasps from Worcester to help fill the void left by the departure of Lima Sopoaga.

Worcester backs coach Matt Sherratt will apparently return to Cardiff next season to link with Dai Young. In 2016 & 2017 Sherratt was Backs and Attack coach at The Arms Park before joining Wales , then Warriors.
