According to The Rugby Paper despite denials and a hard line stance Saints are taking the Toulouse pursuit of Dan Biggar very seriously to the extent that a possible replacement list has been drawn up together with a sizable allocation of Cap being held in reserve should the worst (for them) happen ....
Seemingly heading rapidly toward senility .....Not long or far to go now , in fact, getting worse daily.....

Given Biggar is one of the highest paid players in the league, rumoured to be on a contract similar in size to what we pay Ford. If he goes there will be a big gap in their cap space. He's under contract for next season so they've got some time to draw up a list unless Toulouse are going to buy out his contract which would be fantastically expensive and unnecessary considering Toulouse have a couple of flyhalf options already including Ntamack.

Not sure who's easily available. Patchell maybe but he doesn't have a great injury record ditto Anscombe. Of they sign from the Prem they can't use the marquee spot I assume Biggar is slotted into currently. Carty from Connacht maybe otherwise it's shopping in the Southern Hemisphere. Maybe Boyd has some contacts he can use to land someone like Garden-Bachop or Otere Black.

It's hard to see why Biggar would interest Toulouse when France's number 1 fly half would undoubtedly be first choice.
Ntamack also plays centre , but Toulouse seem to be well-stocked there, and Biggar is an out and out fly half.
This rumour doesn't make sense to me and I hope it's a false one.

However, If Courtney Lawes fancies coming down here.................!

Two Argentinians leave the Top14 sign a one-year deal with Edinburgh:

Racing utility back Emiliano Boffelli (26 years old, 31 caps) and Toulon fullback Ramiro Moyano (31 years old, 36 caps).

Really good signings for Edinburgh although surprised they are only 1 year deals :smt017

Presumably lack of budget. The JIFF rules in France are making it tougher for lots of non-French internationals to go there for an easy pay day.

As forward coach would be great!

Can't see England getting rid of Proudfoot and unsure he'd be happy about a demotion to just scrum coach. Could Cockers go in as defence coach?
