Shame we never signed him on as he always sounded a promising player from reports I head from the u18s league.RagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 8:52 am Former Tigers U18 double premiership winning centre Ronnie du Randt signs for Nottingham
Him and Kelly could have been an interesting partnership

Who knows, if he impresses with Nottingham. Tigers are clearly keeping eyes on players.

This is true - and we do seem to be recruiting players with ties to the club/area and of a age profile with a look to the future.RagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 9:08 amHe's only 20.RunTigerRun wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 9:00 amShame we never signed him on as he always sounded a promising player from reports I head from the u18s league.RagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 8:52 am Former Tigers U18 double premiership winning centre Ronnie du Randt signs for Nottingham

Saracens have signed Italian tighthead Marco Riccioni from Benetton, meaning that if Saracens succeed in promotion and Malins/Earl return you could be looking at a match day 23 with just the 20 internationals in:
1. Mako Vunipola (Eng)
2. Jamie George (Eng)
3. Vincent Koch (SA)
4. Maro Itoje (England
5. Joel Kpoku
6. Janco Venter (Namibia)
7. Ben Earl (England)
8. Billy Vunipola (England)
9. Ivan van Zyl (SA)
10. Owen Farrell (England)
11. Elliot Daly (England)
12. Juan Pablo Socino (Arg)
13. Duncan Taylor (Sco)
14. Sean Maitland (Sco)
15. Max Malins (Eng)
16. Kapeli Pifeleti (US)
17. Eroni Mawi (Fiji)
18. Marco Riccioni (Italy)
19. Callum Hunter-Hill
20. Calum Clark (England)
21. Ruben de Haas (US)
22. Will Hooley (US)
23. Rotimi Segun
1. Mako Vunipola (Eng)

I respect any young player who'd rather drop a level so they can play every week, rather than being put on the back burner or benching all the time. Can only improve their game and most importantly scouts visibility. Good luck to RonnieRagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 8:52 am Former Tigers U18 double premiership winning centre Ronnie du Randt signs for Nottingham

Isiekwe and Tompkins are also due to return for next season. Tompkins will probably do the last season at Sarries before heading back to Wales.JP14 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:34 am Saracens have signed Italian tighthead Marco Riccioni from Benetton, meaning that if Saracens succeed in promotion and Malins/Earl return you could be looking at a match day 23 with just the 20 internationals in:

Yes I forgot about Isiekwe, I thought Tompkins wasn't a loan deal though?

Tompkins was a loan, but I don’t believe he signed a new contract with Sarries like the others did - I think he just took a year out from his existing contract which I think expires in 2022. I’m not 100% sure but I think that’s right as he wants to return to Wales full time after his Sarries contract ends.

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2020-21
He signed a four year deal a while back (I think) so when Sarries got relegated he had two years left. WRU wouldn't buy him out and Sarries didn't want to release but they'd loan him out. He took a loan to Wales to boost his international chances. He'll comeback do a year at Sarries then presumably head over to Wales again otherwise it ends his international aspirations.
