Personal reasons is nice and vague. Could be anything from he doesn't get on with the rest of the squad, his wife hates living in the area, he thinks he deserves a new improved contract and the club disagree. Really could be all manor of things and both sides save face with "personal reasons" being the excuse to part ways.

To retire and then comeback out of retirement a few months later being the best way to duck out of a contract.

He certainly does not appear on the Wikie Pro D2 list of Agen signings but I note that Lawrence Pearce ~ late of Tigers has just retired from Agen.. Wow that seems years ago that he was at Tigers, perhaps it was Agen's wheelchair rugby team.
