Heavily linked with Leicester at one stage South African Lock Marvin Orie is reportedly on his way to the Ospreys as cover for Alun Wyn Jones and Adam Beard who should be away with Wales for large sections of the season.

i just feel like if he isn’t starting week in week out for us and the fact we may be signing a big money 7 that the prospect of playing for wales is a very attractive one for him. i really like him as a player and i personally would rather focus on his development and spend big on a lock, but as i say that’s not the case at the moment and i just feel like wales could lure him away with the signing of van staden

Van Staden is a powerful player. He could play 6 for us as well as 7. I think it's probably better for Reffell as he can be rotated in and out the squad and kept fit. Openside is a very attritional position and he is still a young player.

Wales have a lot of backrow players, none of the regions bothered to offer Thomas Young a contract last summer which is amazing really when you consider his quality.
