Wigglesworth in!

Post by Big Dai »

On the face of it a good overall move? Not one for opponents of the box kicking strategy.

What's the verdict?

37 years old and heavily involved in two of the biggest sporting scandals in recent memory, we don't even know how long his ban will be for breaking covid regulations, could be severe. To be perfectly honest I want nothing to do with him.

In, as in, In Tigers squad, signed, given a contract, joined our 'journey' (hate that term).

As mentioned on the transfer thread

Not sure we’d be saying we don’t want Itoje if he joined because he was involved in one of the scandals - or is that two is one too many?

Anyway from my perspective he’ll bring a bit of sarries winning mentality and “dog” and help White and JVPs development particularly given YBY will be away for long periods next season

We sign unknowns - not good enough and not high profile enough

We sign proven winners - too old and not liked cause they won stuff at a rival

Dreadful signing on all levels.

Next week we sign Paddy Jackson, the week after Folau.

Of all the times to announce it as well....

I'm going to go against the grain here, I think this is a good signing. Very solid player.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

A very good signing. Having lost Melé he could be a very valuable addition seeing as we’d struggle (financially and legally perhaps) to sign another SH coach.

I know when my Club lost it's playing mo-jo
I feel I now know that it has also lost it's moral compass. Taking on Sarries cheats is no lesson for fans or players.

Might as well sign Callum Clarke now. :smt012
I used to sit near a stalker and we want him back "kick for the corner!!!!"

take it you want to give back one of the European cups then after Neil Back blatantly cheated and got away with it at a key point to secure the win? No? then stop being so pious, Players accepted contracts offered its the club management that did the cheating.

After Ben Youngs we have no experience at scrum half, this will be a good move with Ben away for a number of weeks with England

I was thinking the same. He's coached at the world cup. He's won the lot domestically. Great at the basics. Bit of a player/mentor role and he's someone that can help develop the way we play.

Let's face it he played for a team who were up to no good at board level and went out for a beer when he shouldn't. I'm not sure it's ok for people to call him out when we kept Back on after his six month ban for pushing the ref at the end of a game. Everyone makes mistakes and he's not Calum Clark. I think he'll prove to be quite popular with the fans by the end of the season.
