Re: Baa Baas game called off
They probably won’t be charged under the Covid legislation as they will claim it is a business meeting.
Apparently this is being used by a number of London restaurants to enable larger parties to book?
That probably won’t wash with those that made the contracts or the TV companies that have lost shedloads of cash.

I doubt they will be fined/prosecuted for allegedly breaking any Covid restrictions.

Leaves England undercooked for their 6 Nations decider too.

Is our game on BBC or Amazon Prime?

6 nations is still a protected game so has to be free to air. Think it's just the Autumn Nations cup that's on Prime atm
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

A lot of people and organisations have lost a lot of money as a result of this stupid selfish behaviour. If they have breached the terms of their contracts I suspect the men in wigs will be looking to see what can be done as we speak. This is not over.

Assuming they all have indemnity cover, wonder if the RFU can sue the players and get their insurance to pay out and cover some of the lost revenue.

I'd be amazed if any insurance would cover the holder against their own knowing misconduct.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 10:28 am Assuming they all have indemnity cover, wonder if the RFU can sue the players and get their insurance to pay out and cover some of the lost revenue.
No, not that one!

Re: Baa Baas game called off
I do find this an interesting situations. What we have is a significant loss of revenue for both teams which can clearly be attributed to the actions of 12 individuals in breach of contract terms as to covid protocol, breaches that have been admitted to very publicly by a number of those involved via their apology letters. In a time when funding is so tight, I really do not see that the RFU and, indeed, the Barbarians, have any option than to commence legal proceedings against the players involved to recover some of the losses directly attributable to their actions.

Maitland has been dropped by Scotland, right decision.

Easy to say when it has no impact on you...personally I take EJs musings with a pinch of salt.

EJ says "Don't be too Harsh on Robshaw".
He is a 34 year old man who has captained his country. Surely in his case youth can no longer be used as an excuse for such stupid irresponsibility?
