The main area of squad improvement needed over the past few years has, in my opinion, been the back row. It's therefore very encouraging to see the strength we have now.
Coghlan for me is backup only so I'm not worried whether he stays, goes on loan or decides to move on. Smith looks promising but I don't think he's at the stage where he will be demanding first team rugby on a regular basis, as said above a loan move would be good if the Championship actually happens. Not really sure where Lewis fits in to Borthwick's thinking at the moment.
If we're lucky with injuries we may be saying in a few months that we have too many back rowers, but that would be a welcome change for me!

You'd think so if the club is saying he's ready by the start of the season. They have had plenty of time since he was signed and announced to sort it.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
