Sale say they can play & have called PRL's bluff who have folded....
The best thing would be Worcester to say get stuffed we are not playing, Sale make the playoffs, team that finishes 5th loose their ....
If any of Sale's positive tests are front rowers surely track & trace would isolate the whole clubs front rowers..unless Dido has something to do with it?

Sorry but this is appalling. Feels very dodgy all round. Sale should have forfeited

I'm very interested to know what the audit shows up, if they've broken guidelines then they should be punished amd very clearly. This is possibly endangering lives. I think England cricket laid down the rules with Archer very well, they made the severity of the breach clear to player and media. Clearly took a breach of protocol seriously.
To have 16 players positive suggests that polices are either short of what's required or not properly followed, where other clubs have had positivetests it's always been a couplehere or there. Or maybe it's like Aberdeen's players where half the team went out drinking together.

Just for the record I think if Leicester have something like this happen I'd expect the same. We as a fans put our hard earned money into the club which helps pay players, we should expect professionalism in return!

Having now read in full about Saints and seeing they have FORFEITED their game because of their game on Tuesday due to players needing to isolate.

Can someone explain how with 16 players with positive tests, that Sale even proposed playing tommorow. That it took Worcester raising concerns is poor. Sale clearly prioritised a shot at a semifinal over a global pandemic..

As much as I'm not overly fond of Saints fair play to them actually doing the right thing putting player welfare first.

Farcical. Can Sale say the players they intend to field have had no contact with those who tested positive for 10 days? I suspect no in which case the whole club should be isolating. Game cancelled. No other decision anywhere near sensible.

Northampton did the right thing. Sale emphatically didn't.

It's not often Tigers fans big up the Saints but spot on, completely the innocent party.

The Sale players could be equally innocent, but nature of the virus & rugby, one player is carrying it completely asymptomatic infects his team mates also as young fit men asymptomatic.

The problem certainly is higher at Sale & PRL who as previously stated are not the people to organise a party at a brewing establishment.

Yes, but why aren't Premier Rugby stepping in and telling Sale to do so? :smt017

Reminds me a bit of Scottish Rugby saying they would take legal action if their RWC game in Japan was called off because of Typhoon Hagibis.. its pathetic. I get it Sale want to qualify for the playoffs but there’s far more to life.. big picture, safety has to come first end of story. Saints have taken a very pragmatic approach, Sale... hmmmm!

If PHE say they are happy that it is safe for Sale to play, then surely Sale are not doing anything wrong?

If PHE say that it is not safe to play, then the game won't go ahead.

Simple as that, no?

It will be called off I reckon . Apparently they are re testing the squad to see if it was a batch of false readings

If Sale are safe to play then play tomorrow when the match was scheduled to be played, at the same time as all other kickoffs.

One of the points being made is why are they being given preferential treatment? They are allowed to postpone yet Saints have to cancel.

1. Clearly Sale should not have said the game was on via their Twitter last night until all parties had agreed.

2. Question IF Bristol lose by 8 or more tommorow, I expect Sale to forfeit their game 20-0. How is that right that they get the choice?

3. Warriors named their team. How come Sale didn't (despite saying they were able to fulfil the fixture).

This thing just seems wrong, I get tour point Tiglon but PHE may not have full background etc etc, a non rugby player from PHE may not really understand that with a squad it's all but impossible for a front row to train away from the other front row or how it's a specialist position others can't cover.
