What a mess
The English Prem has got itself here:

Should have dealt with the Sarries situation much sooner.
Should have ring fenced.
As much as I have issues with Sarries they should be in the Prem.

Re: What a mess
And if they hadn’t continued cheating their way to success for the past few years, after being warned and let off the hook, they wouldn’t be in this position. Bad timing, but as my mum used to say when I was hungover as a teenager, it’s self-inflicted - I have no sympathy.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Re: What a mess
Sarries got themselves where they are.
Bored of hearing excuses for them and their underhand actions (Yes, if it had been us I would think the same way).
They might still have been in the Premiership if they'd opened their books for forensic audit - they chose not to.
Even trying to empathise on purely rugby grounds I come to the same conclusion that I have zero sympathy for them, or their plight.
I don't recall any of their key figures actually admitting guilt and apologising for their actions, just 'unfortunate this' and 'regrettable that' - you can't reform without acknowledging your previous transgressions.
As Loretta said, they had their warning and they chose to ignore the opportunity to play the same as others.

Re: What a mess
This did not only effect them, their attitude hasn't changed they still think they have done nothing wrong, by over inflating the wages in the Premiership they have ruined the league for all the clubs. They illegally inflated the wages and expectations not only for their own players, but it has had effect right across the world, some clubs may not survive now because their wage bill is too high, inflated by the Salarysins cheating. I might have felt sorry for their fans, but they seem to be suffering with the same denial, so they can all suffer together.

"The Premiership forced relegation on Saracens"
Paul Rees consistently glosses over the reality of Saracens' financial doping.

Re: What a mess
Everyone is missing the point.
It's a mess for the English Premiership and therefore Leicester Tigers. It's also a mess for the England national side.
It's not about feeling sorry for, or having sympathy for, Saracens.
It's about being peed of at a situation we've allowed to happen that will hurt us all.

Coronavirus in a sense has revealed a lot of truths, including that modern pro rugby is unsustainable, both in its human cost and financial one.sapajo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 3:13 pmIt is what it is ................ourla wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 3:08 pm Everyone is missing the point.

Re: What a mess
Please Sir it's Chiefs fault and the Prem. Not my fault.
Infamy Infamy they've all got it ...........
Question - with so many senior members of the squad still on the books. Am I still breaching? Its not as though I'm going to have me books scrutinised .Is it?
Sorry - Titles should have been rebuked. I said it before They bought titles.
We heard from the enquiry that more clubs were being looked into. I can only assume that others were open and transparent. Which impounds the dishonesty/oversight.( not wishing to make myself liable) Or have I missed something?
And what is Mr Wray doing now?

Re: What a mess
Were it just a normal relegation and it were us for the drop you can bet there would be no hand wringing at the situation like there is here. Despite years of ongoing cheating, despite there being no contrition at all from the club, its players, coaches, fans or owners, despite no sign that they don't intend to do it all again, somehow Sarries are still the darlings of the Rugby media. It's sick. Something is rotten in the state of Rugby Journalism.
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Re: What a mess
Ok, so, if everyone else is missing the point, why should they be in the Prem?
A modern day scrum feed is less crooked.
