Matiu Ratana

Post by Ashurstwoodtiger »

Just to let people know who may not have heard Matiu Ratana (the Met police sergeant shot today) was the Head Coach for East Grinstead Rugby Club.
Although my son played for the Club in his youth and one of Grandsons now plays for the U13 I never had the pleasure of meeting Matt but I know he will be sorely missed and my condolences go out to his partner and family.
The Sussex Rugby community as well as the Met Police I am sure will be a poorer place without him. RIP Matt

Tragic loss RIP.

Two of my sibs are former sergeants, D&C and Thames Valley. Always worried for them that something like this would happen.
